The USBA Boomerang Teams have participated in the World Cup and World Boomerang Championships (WBC) since 1981, where the US won the “Australia vs. USA Boomerang Championship” down under. No team has won more World Championships than Team USA securing with 12 wins, most recently in in 2018 and repeating in 2022.

The 25th World Boomerang Championships were held in Bordeaux, France in 2022.  The best throwers in the world competed for 11 days of intense boomerang competitions. Teams representing twelve countries included France, U.S.A., Australia, Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, Spain, Great Britain, India, Switzerland, Germany, and Colombia.  USBA Team Radline was able to take home top honors finishing first overall, USBA Team Vintage Rad finished in the fourth slot.

The USBA sent two US teams, each comprised of six members:

USBA Team 1 – Radline was filled by Kenny Barr, Dan Bower, Richard Bower, Logan Broadbent, Will Gix, and Jason Smucker.  You may already be familiar with Logan Broadbent, who competed for five seasons, as the Boomerang Ninja, on NBC’s hit TV show American Ninja Warrior.

USBA Team 2 – Vintage Rad was filled by George Essig, Steve Kavanaugh, Mark Legg, Bob Leifeld, Betsylew Miale-Gix, and Rick Saidenberg

In addition to the two adult teams and junior team was also sent!

USBA Junior Team – Wind Benders  Cameron Brosnan, Caden Kavanaugh, Seth Lemay, Christian Schramm, and Rachael Smucker.
