for the upcoming year is complete.

Although the Germans took 1st and
3rd in the World individual comp (Fridolin
Frost and Alex Opri) and the "best
boom thrower in the world" took
second (Manu Schutz), the US made a
decent showing. Fifteen of the
top 30 finishers represent the
states.

Get Ready for the Nationals!!

Activity is in full swing for the
USBA National Competition and Expo
being held in Dallas, Texas on
October 16th through 19th.
Tourney Director, David Hirsch, is
working hard to prep and publicize
this event.
We'll be kicking off the event with
a boomerang demonstration at the
State Fair of Texas on Wednesday.
Long Distance will happen Thursday
with the Expo going full swing
starting Friday. If you're
planning on this event, check the
official website for all your
details. Some important things
to note:

Special
hotel rate at the Marriott if
you book by September 19th.

If you
are planning on selling booms
or whatever at the Nationals,
contact Dave ASAP to make vendor
arrangements.

World Champ - Fridolin Frost, Germany
Fridolin Frost took home first place
honors in the individual competition
at the World Boomerang Championships
in Seattle this August. For

Betsylew Miale-Gix at the WBC
In
addition to being the current USBA
Treasurer, Betsylew Miale-Gix placed
15th overall at the WBC, giving her
the title of the best female thrower
in the world for 2008.
Betsylew will be competing at the
Nationals in Dallas in October.
